In Fallout 4, All You Need Is A Little Luck

And, we’re here at last. In preparation for Fallout 4, Bethesda has covered all the essential traits that make you, a survivor of nuclear apocalypse, S.P.E.C.I.A.L. We’ve talked about the need for

Strength

to beat up enemies, with

Perception

to determine exactly how and where to shoot them.

Endurance

is important to survive for long periods of time, but it’s nothing if you don’t know how to use

Charisma

to interact with others,

Intelligence

to use your resources, or

Agility

to get where you’re going. All this leaves is L to top off the series, as Vault-Tec teaches you all about Luck:

Luck is the wild card stat that can turn bleak situations into richly rewarding triumphs, or muddle up a sure shot into a blatant misfire. No matter how skilled you may be, a bout of bad luck in the Wasteland can secure your demise, but those with high levels of Luck can’t rely on it fully to carry them through. It’s a strange, interesting stat that can turn all the points you put into others upside down, so make sure you have just enough to save you from disaster at any time.

Fallout 4 is almost here! It comes out on November 15, 2015 for Windows, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
