In Fallout 4, Being Agile And Nimble Will Ensure Survival

One thing that has been a funny constant over the past few weeks is the release of Fallout 4 videos, highlighting the importance of keeping up each one of the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats. This week, Bethesda has released a new video showing why boosting up your Agility stat is an important means of protecting yourself from multiple attackers, and an important means of avoiding or sneaking into conflict for a personal advantage.

As the video demonstrates, in Fallout 4 the radiation that comes from a nuclear winter will make those above the surface succumb to disastrous effects, turning them into ghoulish beings that cannot be reasoned with. Having a high Agility stat will allow for players to target multiple enemies at once within the Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System, focusing bursts of attacks in a short amount of time in order to take enemies down safely. Should a head-on approach not be your style, Agility also allows you to sneak up on enemies to avoid conflict or to provide sneak attacks that give you the edge in combat.

Additionally, as we’ve seen from the Perks chart, the Fallout 4 Agility video teases at perks that allow you to reload your bullets faster, do massive damage on sleeping targets and spreading the aim of targeted areas of an enemy’s body to improve your damage output. As always, you can only improve as far as your stat number will go, so the extent of your agile abilities can go as far as you would like to push them. We’re less than a month away from the launch of Fallout 4 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, and to end these instructional videos with a demonstration of Luck will provide insight to the more unseen aspect of game balance.
