Street Fighter IV Mod Brings Us Rousey vs. Mayweather Bout

Ever since Ms. Rousey has been dominating her field in the UFC Bantamweight Division (in addition to her numerous callouts of the world’s most prolific athlete alleged in the beating of women), many have wondered who would win a fight between Ronda Rousey and Floyd Mayweather. Such a fighter would, understandably, never happen in a million years, but that hasn’t stopped one Street Fighter IV modder from making it a (virtually realized) reality.

Youtuber Richie Brandon has created a Street Fighter IV fight that stars the modded versions of Balrog and Cammie to bring us the closest thing to a real Rousey vs. Mayweather matchup. Crafted from the PC version of the game, it’s a simple reskin of the characters’ models to best illustrate what each fighter most looks like in real life. It’s not perfect (Floyd Mayweather fights in the 140-147 Welterweight division, while Balrog would be a Heavyweight fighter), but the character portraits, the chosen Ultras (Violent Buffalo is dead on for Mayweather) and the representation of Rousey makes it pretty close.

Both characters engaged in the Street Fighter IV bout via the CPU, meaning that the outcome wasn’t chosen one way or another. It was certainly a close fight, one that saw each fighter take advantage of their unique styles of combat and use of tactics. We’re not going to spoil it for you, so check it out above!
