The anticipation I have for NBA 2K16 grows with each reveal they make for this game. NBA 2K16 is looking to feature the most in depth career mode of any of the NBA 2K titles yet. Previously, the trailers for MyCareer focuses on the drama of the Livin’ Da Dream mode as created by Spike Lee. This trailer shows a bit more of the behind the scenes.

First up and most exciting, you get a gym in your house to play in. Even more exciting, you can invite friends to play in the gym with you! This is a whole other level than what you were able to do in practice mode between games in NBA 2K15. Your court is customizable and you get to put up all of your achievements around the gym. It is a bit heady to display all of those things, but man will it be cool to see rookie and MVP awards diplayed.

You can host private games in your gym. Practice on your own. Look at your shoe game and see where you need to come up. I feel like I will be spending a lot of time in this wing of my house.

Next, you get to control your career from high school. This allows players to live the opportunity of playing in high school, picking your college to attend, and then making your way into the league. While not high on my list of things I want to live out, it will be pretty great. After last year’s run as a D-League player turned superstar, this is another fun twist to the MyCareer game this year.

The depth to which the early parts of your career will take place is currently not clear, but it does look like you will play or spend at least one game in each the high school and college game days.

Then, you have a lot more things to do on off days in the schedule in MyCareer now. You have drills to improve your performance stats. You have events and opportunities to manage relationships with other players around the league. You have to manage endorsement contracts and meet certain standards.

NBA 2K16 MyCareer mode looks to be the most involved it has ever been. I really cannot wait to see what it is all about. Then on top of that, Ernie, Kenny, and Shaq will be providing pregame, halftime, and postgame highlights and commentary? This sounds like it is going to be amazing to experience.

NBA 2K16 releases September 29th, 2015 for PC,PS3, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
