By Martin Benn
Microsoft announced their Xbox Live Gold Games With Gold for August 2015; Things just became a bit more Metro and a lot more Metal on your Xbox consoles this month.

For the first part of the month, which you can go and download now, Xbox One gamers will be receiving Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes as part of Games With Gold. As a prequel to the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will be a welcome addition for old fans and new to be able to discover the story leading into Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. It has now been delivered free on both PlayStation Plus and Games With Gold. Konami is really looking to prime the pump for what will surely be Hideo Kojima’s last project with the company.
Also available now, Xbox 360 gamers have access to Metro 2033 as part of Games With Gold. For the full month, Xbox 360 gamers will receive Metro 2033 until August 15, 2015 and from August 16, 2015 until August 31, 2015 Xbox 360 gamers will receive Metro: Last Light.
Given the Xbox One’s backwards compatibility pledge, each of the Xbox 360 games from Games With Gold becomes just a little bit more valuable as they could also become Xbox One games as Microsoft said, “with a flick of a switch.” So even if you do not have an Xbox 360 system, Xbox One owners have reason to redeem these games on the Xbox Live Store just in case they may be able to add titles to their library in the future.
Lastly, in the second half of August, Xbox One gamers will receive How To Survive: Storm Warning Edition. I am not too familiar with the game, so I posted a video above of some gameplay from the game. It looks like a bit of a Diablo style game featuring zombies.
As always, during the month you can redeem each of these Games With Gold titles on the Xbox Games store.
Happy gaming, readers!
