Resident Evil Zero HD Gets An Announcement Trailer

facebooktwitterreddit

Although the existence of Resident Evil Zero has already been confirmed, it was mostly through the words of Capcom officials over in Japan. Today, we finally get to see some of the HD work in action, as a trailer for the title has been released today ahead of E3 2015.

Focusing more intently on the Rebecca Chambers aspect of the game (rather than convict Billy Coen), the Resident Evil Zero trailer paints a picture of S.T.A.R.S. going out on a call in the Arklay Mountains before their helicopter comes crashing down. Thought to be the only survivor, Rebecca comes across a seemingly abandoned train, only to discover unnatural atrocities onboard. Meanwhile, ol’ Albert Wesker is up to no good, lamenting Ms. Chambers’ inexperience to a mysterious shadowy figure.

Coming to PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360, Resident Evil Zero will undergo a tiny bit more work than what we saw from the Resident Evil HD Remaster earlier this year. High-resolution textures have been crafted from scratch, with 1080p support coming to current-gen consoles and PC. That is in addition to Resident Evil remaster standards, including 5.1 surround sound support, the ability to switch between classic 4:3 or traditional 16:9 aspect ratios and the ability to defile the sanctity of tank controls or not.

Resident Evil Zero will be released in Early 2016. Hopefully, it will be as early in the year as Resident Evil HD was.
