Indigo Prophecy Remaster Coming Late January
Whether or not you are a fan of David Cage, his works have been appreciated by a large number of adventure gaming fans. His first call to success, Indigo Prophecy (Fahrenheit, in Europe), kicked off the input-heavy narrative drama formula 10 years ago, and drove gameplay for both Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls. Now it appears as though Indigo Prophecy will get an HD remaster, as an Amazon listing has leaked the details of an unannounced game once again. It is expected to be released on Steam on January 29th.

It’s not like a Quantic Dream game release was entirely surprising, as the game developer’s Facebook page had been teasing a January announcement this past December. Furthermore, they said they would be updating their website, as well as revealing some “fresh news,” on January 29th. Finally, achillingfeeling.com was launched a few days ago, with scrawling text that matched the tagline from Indigo Prophecy when it was released about 10 years ago.
What is interesting of note is that this release of Indigo Prophecy will be the uncut version originally released in North America. In order to pass an M rating by the ESRB, some sexual content had to be cut in the original 2005 release, which will seemingly make its way back in 2015. Additionally, in the detail text for its HD graphics, the page lists its meticulous recreation, “for mobile and desktop.” That would suggest that the game will be released on mobile devices, as well.
Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered looks to be released on January 29th on Steam, with an unconfirmed release date on mobile devices.
