Looking To The Past – The Penultimate WWE 2K16 Roster Reveal
By Fraser G.
We’ve arrived at the penultimate WWE 2K16 roster reveal, and this week is centered around WWE’s past glories, with Superstars from the 80’s and 90’s making up the majority of the lineup.
Let’s start with the big names. “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels is included in the roster as usual, and he’s joined by someone he became very familiar with over the years – Bret Hart. The Three Faces Of Foley will also be making an appearance this year, featuring Dude Love, Cactus Jack, and the deranged Mankind.

We already know that Stephanie McMahon will be a playable Diva this year, and Shane McMahon has also been added to the roster this week. Vince McMahon joins the lineup too, so expect plenty of battles against him in Showcase mode as you follow the career of Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Also representing the late 90’s Attitude Era are Billy Gunn, D-Lo Brown, Farooq, Kama Mustafa, Ken Shamrock, Paul Wight, Rikishi, and X-Pac. 2K have delved into the past even further this week too, with the inclusion of The British Bulldog, Haku, The Honky Tonk Man, Jake Roberts, Jim Neidhart, and Vader.
Just one current WWE Superstar has been confirmed this week – Damien Sandow. You could debate that it’s two however, as Christian has also been announced, despite having not wrestled since early 2014.
This week’s roster reveal will be sure to please the masses who will be relishing the opportunity to create some dream matches in WWE 2K16. With just one week left, we’re still missing some key roster members, such as The New Day and Rusev, and we may yet see the addition of past Superstars such as Road Dogg and Big Boss Man. Who do you think will be joining the lineup in the final roster reveal? Let us know in the comments below.
