Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil HD Receives Physical Bundle
When you realize that Capcom shifted their focus from developing existing and new franchises on consoles to focusing on the creation of mobile games in order to try and make the quick buck, one has to wonder what took them so long to go heavy into remasters. Square Enix has done well with Final Fantasy X|X-2, Kingdom Hearts and others, while Capcom is catching up with Resident Evil HD last year, Resident Evil 0 this year and a full Resident Evil 2 Remake in the future. That’s why it makes sense that Capcom has announced a Resident Evil Origins Collection physical bundle for PS4 and Xbox One.

As you can see from the trailer above, Resident Evil 0 frames the story of Billy Coen and Rebecca Chambers adventuring through the Arklay Mountains as the ultimate precursor to the series’ event. She, a member of S.T.A.R.S.; he, an escaped convict on the run. Together, through the power of the zapping system, will uncover great horrors only known to them and Umbrella, meaning they need to escape and tell the truth to the public. The game also puts Wesker in the role of implementing the “leave no survivors” plan by leading the Bravo Team into the Spencer Mansion, a move accomplished in Resident Evil HD.
Both Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil HD tell the origin stories in specific, yet different ways, making perfect sense to bundle together for PS4 and Xbox One owners. Launching on January 19th, 2016, it will retail at $39.99. Don’t worry if you don’t own either console, or just want to get Resident Evil 0; you can download the game on PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360 in Early 2016 for $19.99.
That’s not all! Resident Evil 0 HD will also see a brand new Wesker Mode. Such a mode sees Wesker replace Billy, and works alongside the unknowing Rebecca Chambers in her quest to escape. It seems to break the game’s inherent logic, but it wouldn’t be the first time Wesker plays double agent. You would think the Uroboros coursing through his evil red eyes would give him away! You can check out his Cyclops-like X-Men powers in the trailer below.
