Bethesda.net is the foundation for the just-revealed and highly customizable Doom Snapmap feature, which allows for an extensive amount of freedom in level creation and the ability to share modes instantly. The platform is what powers Elder Scrolls Online and gives gamers the ability to create and share content regardless of platform.
Bethesda.net “will be at the heart of all of our games going forward and also integrate our websites into one seamless experience,” Hines said.
Bethesda has long been supportive of mods and the company worked on the development of Bethesda.net over the last year in order to help fans connect with each other. It will also play host to relevant exclusive videos, news articles and forums. More information will be revealed soon.
