Marshawn Lynch Beast Modes In Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

When Marshawn Lynch isn’t being literally passed over or showing up to press conferences with muted reluctance to avoid being fined, he’s loving his time playing video games. Whether it be Mortal Kombat X or others, Lynch seems to enjoy the medium as much as anyone else. That’s why I’m sure he has to be thrilled about joining the cast of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, as he will be one of the characters within the game, according to ESPN.

A story part of the launch of ESPN The Magazine’s first ever eSports issue, Marshawn Lynch will be the first athlete ever to (motion cap) suit up for the iconic shooting franchise. It seems like Beast Mode won’t own that huge of a role, as most of his action consists of hanging out with the Treyarch team for all of one day. Beginning with getting a 3D model of him done with a 360-degree LED camera setup, getting reference photos taken and shooting roughly 2 hours of motion capture action is essentially all Lynch did for work, as the rest of the day was watching a confidential screening of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 footage and playing a demo for hours on end.

Regardless, it should be fun to see the explosiveness of Marshawn Lynch’s running game translated into the combat shooter story of Black Ops 3. He take as one of the game’s villains will look best on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, even if the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions were officially announced earlier today. The main difference between the two console generations seems to be cooperative campaign multiplayer play, with Xbox 360 and PS3 supporting just 2 players instead of 4. Hopefully, Marshawn Lynch will stay a prevalent character for all versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 when it is released later this November.
