New Mad Max Game Trailer Sells Its Do Or Die Attitude
Although not quite exactly following the same storyline as Mad Max: Fury Road, Avalanche Studios has done an impressive job in maintaining the generally high-level excitement for the Mad Max franchise. After releasing a gameplay trailer weeks ago, the team brings forth a story trailer, giving just a glimpse at what players can expect our protagonist to be driven by (and just who these evil maniacs of the Aussie wasteland are).

Just like the gameplay trailer, Mad Max is beat up thugs, left broken and carless. With the help of a creature that looks like Ephialtes from the 300 movie, he finds a scrapyard to help build back his vehicle once more, as “a man with no wheels is a man with no hope.” From there, we see a few more car chase action scenes, with Max driving cars off the road and beating up thugs with his fists. Even better is the fact that the Thunderdome seems to be opened once more, promising a veritable host of death and destruction.
I’m a fan of the fact this Mad Max trailer does its best job at keeping the plotlines vague. Antagonists, friends and the “Big Bad Evil Guy” are left unnamed and just teased at, giving the title’s gameplay mechanics within a story setting a better look in. Hopefully, we get to see some sort of gameplay demo at E3 2015, showing more about how a quest or mission line plays out.
Mad Max will be released on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on September 1.
