Project CARS Release Date Finally Set For May

facebooktwitterreddit

Despite being delayed not once, not twice, but thrice, we finally have a Project CARS release date in mind. According to the Bandai Namco UK Twitter account, Project CARS will start its engines and rev up for a May 8th launch in the UK on the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. No word yet on when it should be released on either the Wii U, nor SteamOS, although we’re more than willing to accept release dates of any kind set in stone, at this point!

For those who live outside of the UK, you might be wondering, “When, exactly, can we expect to play Project CARS?” That’s a great question, as that much is unclear. With an official announcement from the UK branch of Bandai Namco, an official release date from the US/North American wing should not be far behind. When that much is clear, this story will be updated.

Still, a May 8th Project CARS release is a fair bit earlier than the “mid-May” promise we received from our last update from Slightly Mad Studios. They will be trying to make amends for those who have waited months on end for some next-gen racing experiences with some free DLC vehicles. The first one will be the W Motors Lykan Hypersport, as seen in the ultra-popular “Furious 7” movie, with others to be released on a monthly basis. Future giveaway Project CARS vehicles are unknown at this time.
