Telltale’s The Walking Dead: Michonne To Debut February 23
An extended preview of The Walking Dead: Michonne – A Telltale Miniseries set to preview Episode 1 on February 14th.
It’s been a while since we’ve seen a Telltale Games property involving the terrors of the reanimated and the evils of humanity. Season 2 of Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead left us on an uneven note, presenting an uneasy finish to a story that didn’t follow through on core story threads. That’s why The Walking Dead: Michonne presents us with a refreshing restart, with the debut of Episode 1: “In Too Deep” coming on February 23rd, Telltale has announced. Samira Wiley (Poussey Washington in Orange Is The New Black) will provide the voice of Michonne.
This miniseries will be an important one for comic book readers of The Walking Dead, as it will cover the story of Michonne’s departure that covers issues #126 – #139 of this comic book. The Walking Dead: Michonne begins with her journey on sailing ship “The Companion” as they follow in Kenny’s dream (not involved in this story) of casing the coast for supplies and other survivors. Answering a call for help, she stumbles upon a devastating scene that leads to a colony called Monroe, host of the person responsible for the horrors that befell them.

The Walking Dead: Michonne will debut on PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360 on February 23, while the iOS and Android versions will follow on February 25th. Episode 2, “Give No Shelter,” will launch in March, followed by the third and final episode, “What We Deserve,” in April. The pricing suggested is $14.99 USD for all three episodes starting with Episode One, with download access to episodes two and three once they go live. The lack of inclusion of a PS Vita version isn’t surprising, but no mention of a per-episode pricing is.
