Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Update Patch 1.06 Adds Five New Weapons
By Vinny Lanni
More guns, more fun(s) for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 players.
A new patch (1.06) for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 was released today (PS4, Xbox One) and brought along some new exciting guns with it.
Unlike the traditional way of leveling up and unlocking new guns, weapons, and attachments; this new patch does things a little differently.

After the new patch became available to the public, players are now saying that the new (1.06 update) weapons are only obtainable, for now, through supply drops. Activison is trying out this new method of unlocking guns, but who knows if this is permanent, temporary, or just a limited time-test phase.
As for the shiny new guns, they are listed by name below:
- M2 Raider (semi-auto rifle)
- Marshal 16 (double-shot pistol)
- NX Phantom (three-bolt crossbow)
- “Fury’s Song” Sword (it slices people)
- “Iron Jim” Crowbar (it hurts people)
As mentioned, these weapons are currently available via a supply drop only. One growing complaint is the game of chance that you have to play in order to obtain the new weapons. A new prepaid weapon pack is a in-hand guarantee but a random supply drop is like a game of Russian Roulette (pun intended).
With the new recent Awakening DLC and a slew of new weapons, Call of Duty fans are getting a fresh new coat of paint on Black Ops III. Here is to some good luck and new weapon in your supply drop.
