Inaugural Emotional Game Awards Dish Out Nominees
Emotional Game Awards sounds like it’s right up David Cage’s alley, for better or for worse.
It’s award season today, and despite a much more prominent movie awards group announcing their nominees this morning, that’s not going to necessarily make competitors stay away from sharing their own this week. As noted at IndieGames.com, the inaugural Emotional Game Awards have revealed nominees of their own!

Despite a more crowded group of titles, the Emotional Game Awards are handed out to nominees that the group feels “engender emotions in players, both positive and negative.” Despite a large number of the categories including indie games, including the overall best category, there is a category dedicated to strictly indie games. Other category breakdowns include those for music, mobile & handheld, virtual reality and artistry. Any award ceremony giving shoutouts to games like Life Is Strange, Ori and the Blind Forest and Emily Is Away are cool in my books!
