UFC 2 will also include a mystery fighter. Who can top Bruce Lee?

Now that Conor McGregor became the undisputed UFC Featherweight Champion and EA Sports UFC 2 has both cover athletes officially confirmed, there was nowhere else to go for EA than to announce a release date. As revealed in a press release, EA Sports UFC 2 will be coming to both PS4 and Xbox One on March 15 in North America and on March 17 worldwide. The above trailer highlights some of UFC’s most notable fighters as part of the showcased in-engine gameplay.

As it is EA Sports, here, UFC 2 will come with some bonuses for those who pre-order the game. Three legendary UFC fighters, one being Bas Rutten, another being “The Gracie Hunter” Kazushi Sakuraba and a third “mystery” fighter (to be named later) will be available on Day 1. Additionally, the deluxe edition of UFC 2 will feature up to $60 of UFC Ultimate Team Premium Packs, similar to other digital card games that EA Sports likes to get fans to buy.

KO Mode and UFC Ultimate Team are just two of the five new gameplay modes coming to EA Sports UFC 2. Additionally, the Career Mode has been altered to allow female fighters for the first time in an official UFC, letting female fans live out their dreams of becoming a top fighter similar to that of Ronda Rousey and Holly Holm. Dynamic grappling, submissions and the all-new Knockout Physics System will inject realism into players’ experiences.

EA Sports UFC 2 will be the second MMA game released by EA, both of which were made after THQ sold the licence to Electronic Arts.
