Dragon Age: Origins also free as part of the PlayStation Plus January 2016 offerings.

As we say goodbye to the year 2015, Sony looks to the future with the recent announcement (on the PlayStation Blog) of the games coming free as part of the PlayStation Plus January 2016 release schedule.

Grim Fandango Remastered will be making its PlayStation Plus debut for both the PS4 and PS Vita, similar to what was revealed at its initial announcement. Played in the classic LucasArts style of adventure game, you guide souls to their eternal rest as a “travel agent for the Department of Death,” which is way cooler a way to describe it than anything else. It’s funny, it’s charming and will certainly have older gaming fans harkening back to the good (or bad) old days when adventure games reigned surpreme.

Not too dissimilar to that of Rocket League, Hardware: Rivals will make its exclusive debut on PlayStation Plus, releasing for the PS4. Just like Rocket League, it is a loose re-interpretation of a previously-released game, this one owing its inspiration to Hardware: Online Arena. This game will see friends and foes compete in online multiplayer (and offline) arenas against each other in the shape of tanks or mobile attack jeeps. It plays in the style of arcade vehicle combat games, and will offer multiple maps, gameplay modes and special events.
