New Nintendo Direct Arrives November 12

It’s been a short while since the untimely, unfortunate passing of Nintendo president Satoru Iwata, which makes the lack of a public presentation of games via Nintendo Direct an understandable one. Nintendo needs to do what is right for the company first as a corporation beholden to their stockholders, as opposed to the rabid fans clamoring for a presentation from a company clearly in the midst of a massive change. Regardless, the deafening silence from the usual bi/tri-monthly Nintendo Direct is no more.

That’s right, Nintendo will be holding their next Nintendo Direct on November 12 at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET. They will be updating fans on upcoming Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS games, which is expected to include Sonic Boom Fire & Ice, Hyrule Warriors Legends, Star Fox Zero, Fire Emblem Fates, Monster Tale Ultimate, Project X Zone 2, Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, Bravely Second: End Layer, Metroid Prime: Federation Force, Pokken Tournament and possibly more.

It’s a weird time for Nintendo, not just because of the shuffling of Nintendo leadership. This is a time when they are planning for the near future, towards the Nintendo NX, and a lot of these games to be promoted at this Nintendo Direct will likely be some of the last produced for both the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. Nintendo is still adamant about details for their upcoming console/hardware/device coming in 2016, but depending on if we see a glut of new announcements on Thursday or not, one may be able to gather when we might see a possible release date for their future hardware.
