Paris Games Week: 8 Minutes Of Horizon Zero Dawn Gameplay
By Fraser G.
At the Sony Paris Games Week press conference earlier today, eight minutes of new Horizon Zero Dawn gameplay was unveiled.
If you’re not familiar with the title, Horizon Zero Dawn is an action role-playing game that’s currently set for release for the PlayStation 4 next year. It’s being developed by Guerrilla Games who are best known for the Killzone series, and it’s their first game that isn’t based on the Killzone franchise for over ten years.

The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world, one thousand years into the future, in which the world is dominated by robotic monstrosities. You’ll be taking charge of a character called Aloy, fighting your way through the vicious surroundings and utilizing various tools to ensure her survival.
In the video, we’re presented with a look at Horizon Zero Dawn’s unique world, and we get a look at how Aloy survives on a regular basis when confronted with powerful and threatening enemies. In one section, the in-game demo appeared to freeze, before it was revealed that we had actually entered a dev mode for the game, giving us a detailed look at one of the game’s creatures.
This isn’t the first time that we’ve had a glimpse of the game, as it originally debuted at E3 2015. Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long to get our hands on Horizon, although there’s still no concrete release date for now.
