PS4 console-exclusive Street Fighter V is set to launch in North America and Europe on February 16th. Capcom was supposed to announce this during Paris Games Week, but due to timezone confusion Eurogamer already published the story. They have since pulled it from their website.

Capcom will also be announcing a “new” addition to the Street Fighter V roster, the incredibly elastic, fire-breathing Dhalsim! Sure he’s a new announcement for Street Fighter V, but c’mon, he’s been around since Street Fighter II and one of the series most popular characters. How could he not be on the roster?

Street Fighter V will launch with a roster of 16 fighters. Six more fighters will be coming in 2016, and you don’t even necessarily have to pay extra for them. Street Fighter V offers the opportunity to earn “fight money”, which is in-game currency you can earn to unlock these additional fighters without spending an of your own hard-earned money. No release dates or a vague release window has been given at this time.

Street Fighter V as a PS4 console-exclusive was a controversial announcement, given the large number of fighting game fans on Xbox platforms. That being said, there’s a pretty good chance Xbox One owners might see a Super or Turbo or Championship edition of Street Fighter V somewhere down the line. For now, though, Street Fighter V launches exclusively on PS4 and PC on February 16th.
