It’s common knowledge that WWE 2K15 was very light in the features department, and that limitation also stretched to the game’s creation suite. With modes such as Create-An-Entrance being stripped to its bare bones and others missing entirely, 2K needed to rebound in a big way this year.
They’ve seemingly managed it too, with what appears to be an enhanced Create-A-Superstar & Diva suite, as well as re-introducing the Create-A-Championship and Create-An-Arena modes to the game. On the surface, Create-An-Arena looks similar to how it did in the past, and it appears as though we’ll have even more creative tools at our disposal this year. Create-An-Entrance seems to have benefited from a fairly comprehensive upgrade too, as the video alludes to a redesigned UI system.
Finally, 2K have implemented a brand-new creation feature called Create-A-Show. This will prevent the need to carry out your created arena shows under the Raw or SmackDown! banner, as multiple graphical overlay options help to create a unique look and feel to your created show.
I love the Create-A-Show addition, and although we’ve seen most of the other features in the past, I’m relieved and excited to have a chance to experience them again on the current generation of consoles. The only downside is the lack of ability to utilize custom music, which is sorely missed. With all of the customization features on display, having to settle for a preset list of music is big disappointment (although not necessarily 2K’s fault), but one we’ll have to make do with for now.
WWE 2K16 will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on October 27, 2015. Check out the new Creation Suite trailer below.
