At the time of this post, Ubisoft is in the process of announcing…something. We’re not sure what, and we don’t know when we’ll know, because Ubisoft is taking its time revealing what it only tags as “Survival is timeless”:
The image is changing, very slowly. It’s zooming out. At first we could only see the fellow dead center with the bow, but as it’s zoomed out more bowmen, trees, a moon, and a hand reminiscent of actual ancient hand paintings decorate this wall.
We’re not sure what Ubisoft has planned, but we can make some intelligent guesses (this doesn’t look much like Watch_Dogs, for example). A new Far Cry game seems likely, since we haven’t heard anything about a new game since Far Cry 4 was released last year, and exploring ancient caves is right up that alley. Theoretically Assassin’s Creed could also visit a time period when such things were being painted. Perhaps we’ll look into the origins of the Assassins and the Pieces of Eden as was hinted at in Assassin’s Creed 2 and 3? Or it could be a different game altogether, with a brand new title!
