The PlayStation 4 recently received a price cut in Japan (where admittedly it is not selling anywhere near what it is here in the U.S.), so it seemed that a U.S. price cut might follow. Destructoid is reporting that Target’s website had the system at $349, a $50 drop from it’s standard $399 the PlayStation 4 has been at since launch in 2013. The actual page on Target’s site is not there as of this posting, so someone may have accidentally jumped the gun ahead of an official announcement from Sony.
However, even if a price cut for the PlayStation 4 is announced in the next week or so, it still will probably be prudent to wait a bit. The last couple months of the year often see far better deals than just a price cut (additional bundled games, giftcards, etc.) and you are probably much better off waiting for those deals to pop up.
