Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 1 Gets Epic Intro Trailer
Fans of Minecraft and Telltale alike are looking at Minecraft: Story Mode with curiosity. With the first episode just two weeks away, we’re all eager to see what you get when you mix a game about building stuff out of blocks and the team behind the video game renditions of The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones. We get a tiny glimpse into that world with the latest trailer for Minecraft: Story Mode highlighting the adventure of Episode 1.
Episode 1 is subtitled “The Order of the Stone”, referring to a group of four heroes of old who rid the world of a pretty nasty dragon once, and whose power may be needed again in light of some new, upcoming darkness. Take a look:
The blurb from the video offers a bit more insight, too:
"In Minecraft: Story Mode, playing as either a male or female hero named ‘Jesse,’ you’ll embark on a perilous adventure across the Overworld, through the Nether, to the End, and beyond. You and your friends revere the legendary Order of the Stone: Warrior, Redstone Engineer, Griefer, and Architect; slayers of the Ender Dragon. While at EnderCon in hopes of meeting Gabriel the Warrior, Jesse’s friends discover that something is wrong… something dreadful. Terror is unleashed, and you must set out on a quest to find The Order of the Stone if you are to save your world from oblivion."
Episode 1 of Minecraft: Story Mode will be available on October 13 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, PC and Mac. It will also be out for Wii U, iOS, and Android at a later date. A physical version of the game (with a Season Pass) will be out in stores on October 27 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, and PS3.
