Here is a quick hit list of what features from the beta made it into this PS4 update:
- YouTube Live! – Broadcast your gameplay sessions across YouTube.
- Share Clips To Twitter – 10 second videos can now be uploaded to Twitter.
- PlayStation Plus Section – A dedicated section to PlayStation Plus to see current offers for members.
- Communities – Put your favorite people to play games with in different communities for like interests. Destiny group? Destiny Group!
- PNG Screenshots – Not a fan of Jpegs? Well, now you can use PNG image files to save/upload.
There are a couple of other features here as well. Check out further information and images of the new update over at the Playstation Blog.
While I am a bit disappointed the updated cloud storage capacity did not make it, the overall update looks to add a lot of good functionality to the PS4. Communities is an especially good feature to add as it now brings them closer to parity with friends list options available on the Xbox Live platform.
We will be taking a look at some of the new features when they release tomorrow. So come on back and we will have our impressions of what the update does to improve the PS4 system interface.
