SCEJA 2015: Dragon Quest: Builders Trailer Shows Off World

At SCEJA 2015 today, Square Enix showed off a new trailer for their upcoming Minecraft-like RPG: Dragon Quest: Builders. Though not lavish on the gameplay, the trailer is pretty and gives a nice idea of what type of game to expect:

Dragon Quest: Builders takes place in Alefgard, the same setting as the original Dragon Quest games. The hero must rebuild Alefgard after its destruction at the hands of the Dragon Lord using materials harvested with his giant mallet. The world, which is made of blocks, can be rebuilt in a myriad of different ways according to the player’s whim. It…looks a lot like Minecraft.

Dragon Quest: Builders will be released on PS4, PS3, and PS Vita on January 28, 2016. Don’t worry if you’re waiting for something a bit more subtantial, though.  The team from Square Enix reassured us that development on Dragon Quest 11 is still in progress.
