Lego Dimensions Stars Every Celebrity And Their Mothers
Usually when you get star talent for your video game projects, most directors and publishers can nab one or two named stars from Hollywood. Perhaps a Peter Stormare, a John Noble or a Charles Dance to provide prominent antagonist or third-party roles to spruce up the gameplay. Lego Dimensions, through the power of Warner Bros, through caution to the wind and brought a star-studded cast of TV and film talent to voice characters across several game dimensions. Their newest trailer reveals who’s playing whom, just in case you wanted to keep track.

Drawing from 14 established entertainment universes, Lego Dimensions sees Joel McHale voice X-PO, an NPC robot-like LEGO that provides narrative and exposition to your adventure. He’ll guide you through Back to the Future (starring Michael J. Fox and Christoper Lloyd), Chris Pratt voicing both Emmet from the movie and Owen from Jurassic World, plus Elizabeth banks reprising her role as Wyldstyle. Here are just some of the other prominent names lending a voice to Lego Dimensions:
- Alison Brie
- Bryce Dallas Howard
- Charlie Day
- J.K. Simmons
- Peter Capaldi
- Stephen Merchant
- Nick Robinson
- Sean Astin
- Troy Baker
- Nolan North
- Tara Strong
- Laura Bailey
- Jenna Coleman
- Michelle Gomez
- Matthew Lillard
- Ellen McClain
- Ty Simpkins
- Travis Willingham
- Tom Kane
- Irrfan Kahn
To top it off, Gary Oldman voices Lord Vortech, the villain of Lego Dimensions who seeks power over the shared Multiverse.
Honestly, based on the voice acting alone I’m starting to second-guess my previously-diminishing interest in the Lego video game series. Lego Dimensions seems to be the most definitive version to date, going ham on both starter packs and other physical/digital-based DLC. Wrangling the property rights for all these franchises could not have been an easy task, but the potential benefit to make serious bank off of both the Lego IP and literal, physical Lego properties cannot be ignored.
Lego Dimensions will be released for the PS4, Xbox One, Wii U, PS3 and Xbox 360 on September 27.
