Some of the more enjoyable DLC in Western RPG’s seem to come from the recent Fallout series. Whether it be aiding the Brotherhood of Steel, travelling to the outer limits of space or enjoying some of those sweet Old World Blues, the add-on content that rolls out seems to be mostly hit and rarely miss. That’s why it comes as no surprise that Bethesda has announced the reveal of a Season Pass for Fallout 4.

With the first piece of DLC coming in early 2016, the Fallout 4 Season Pass retails for $30, with the promise for at least forty dollars’ worth of content when sold individually. At the same time, since Bethesda are still working on the game, even they “don’t know what the actual DLC will be yet,” which hopefully doesn’t serve as a tell that they might cut out regular game content to facilitate sold content at a later date.

Additionally, Bethesda details other aspects of Fallout 4 to be worked upon post-launch, including regular updates. They insist, just like Skyrim, new features will be added. Bethesda quotes mounted combat, legendary mode, kill cams and visual improvements as upgrades to Skyrim that were added post-launch for free, and the idea is that Fallout 4 may seem gameplay mechanic updates in the weeks or month after the game’s release.

Finally, a new Creation Kit for modding Fallout 4 will be provided to PC users in early 2016. The follow up would be that those mods, which are the same that are available to those working in the game studio, will be opened up to Xbox One owners of the game first, followed by PlayStation 4.

Fallout 4 will be released on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on November 10.
