Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 Soundtrack Fits The Game’s Bill

Whenever someone mentions the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater franchise, the first thing that comes rushing to mind is, “SO HERE I AM / DOING EVERYTHING I CAN,” the opening lyrics from Ska band Goldfinger’s “Superman.” The music of the skateboarding series is almost as crucial as the gameplay, lending itself as much as an established character that you would see in such a series. With the upcoming release of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 on the PS4 and Xbox One this September, Game Informer has reported on songs for the entire soundtrack, which carries songs from Punk, Hip-Hop, Nu Metal and even a July 2015 collab from Yogi & Skrillex.

32 songs are coming to Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5, with band names ranging from Death, to Death From Above 1979, to Bully and all the way out to Anti-Flag. This ain’t your mother’s skateboard gaming soundtrack! There seems to be a mix of the popular along with the core cuts, with music to set the mood rather than to enjoy strictly Top 40.

As a result of the gathering of this list, some of the songs linked are no longer available. However, they should be as selectable/de-selectable within the final release of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 as they are searchable on Youtube and Soundcloud. Some people aren’t a fan of certain genres, and keeping the allotted mix of your own seems to be the best option.
