When asked on Twitter if anybody from the initial trilogy wold be returning forMass Effect AndromedaSenior Development Director Chris Wynn replied that it wouldn’t make much sense. Of course in video games that often doesn’t matter, but given the complicated ending of Mass Effect 3, obviously anybody showing up might be a hue headache to explain that Bioware does not want to deal with.
While there won’t be any familiar faces, combat inMass Effect Andromedawill be similar toMass Effect 3, so fans of the series will feel right at home. Wynn did say that the combat will also include new elements that will make the combat feel similar, but more dynamic at the same time.
Mass Effect Andromedais slated for release sometime next year.
