Digital Rock Band 4 Pre-Orders On PS4 Offer 10 Free Songs

This October will look to resemble late-2010 once again as two music video games, both complete with plastic instrument peripherals, will look to compete for the fans’ hard-earned dollars. Because both Rock Band 4 and Guitar Hero Live will look to run as long-standing services instead of annualized disc-based sequels, getting fans in the door will be the biggest challenge. That’s why PlayStation partnered with Harmonix to offer 10 bonus DLC songs for free for anyone who pre-orders Rock Band 4 on PS4 through PlayStation Plus. This was confirmed on the PlayStation Blog, which offers up more details on the offer.

Most importantly, these are the 10 Rock Band 4 songs that will be offered up as part of this PS Plus digital download offer:

  • All That Remains – “Divide”
  • Blitz Kids – “Run For Cover”
  • Bring Me The Horizon – “Throne”
  • Dead Sara – “Mona Lisa”
  • Duran Duran – “The Reflex”
  • Janis Joplin – “Move Over”
  • Of Mice & Men – “Would You Still Be There”
  • Oh Honey – “Sugar You”
  • Pantera – “Cowboys From Hell (Live from Monsters in Moscow Festival)”
  • Seastick Steve – “Summertime Boy”

Additional bonuses to those who take advantage of this digital Rock Band 4 offer include a PS4-exclusive theme that is available to download right now. These songs are only available for free through this offer, although they will be available to buy sometime at or after the launch of the game later this year.

Thankfully, this Rock Band 4 deal through Sony is clear as day as to what songs you will receive. Amazon was offering 34 unknown songs since E3 2015, although they come from those buying instrument and full-band bundles (which cost a lot more money than they’ve ever been). Nevertheless, should you already own the DLC and the instruments for the PS3 versions of previous Rock Band games and you’re 100% set on getting Rock Band 4, this offer seems to sweeten the deal.

Rock Band 4 will be released for the PS4 and Xbox One on October 6th.
