Homefront: The Revolution has resurfaced to the public after a tumultuous time in development and some serious financial issues with Crytek studios, credit to Kotaku for the previous reporting. Deep Silver showed off the game during Microsoft’s press conference and announced early beta access for Xbox One gamers.

Homefront: The Revolution looks interesting. It feels interesting. Everything about this game evokes something. From the stories of the development process to the actual premise of the game, Deep Silver has touched upon something that could end up being a very interesting game. Hopefully more interesting and better executed than the first in the series.

Now we get another fresh look at what the future of Homefront: The Revolution is in this new trailer, above, and just to begin, it looks good. Looking further into the story within the trailer though, this is a very complex narrative being approached here. From the looks of it, you will be watching, planning, and acting out a revolution against an occupying foreign technological military presence on American soil.

Homefront: The Revolution brings you to Philadelphia and I do not even recognize it in the trailer. The general premise is similar to the first game, but after seeing what things are accomplished with other games like Grand Theft Auto V heists, I wonder if Deep Silver may be keeping some of the more fantastic parts of the game close to chest until it comes closer to release.

Homefront: The Revolution will be resisting arrest on your PC, PS4, and Xbox One in 2016
