Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection Demo Coming This Summer

While Uncharted 4 might be the talk about town when it comes to Naughty Dog’s video game output, need I remind readers that Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will be hitting the PS4 this year. Not only will it improve the lighting, textures and output at a 1080p resolution and at 60 frames per second, but it will also prove to be an excellent selling point for the PS4 to new users coming from Xbox and Nintendo (as opposed to God of War III Remastered). In fact, PS4 owners new and seasoned alike can check out the changes on the Uncharted collection themselves with a demo later this year.

The news comes from the PlayStation Blog, truly burying the lede all the way down to the second-last sentence in their story. Sid Shuman, Senior Manager of social media at PlayStation, heaps on praise for the updates to Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, mostly, as Bluepoint seems to be doing a great job handling the port. Players will be able to experience the changes to control schematics, gameplay mechanics and more later this summer.

Unfortunately, that release window could mean we could still be waiting more than two months for just a taste of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. We also don’t know how big an experience players will get, what game(s) are involved or much else. However, for those who have only heard about the Uncharted series from their friends and are checking it out for the first time, even just picking out one excellent level alone might be enough to convince a full purchase when the collection is released on October 9th in North America.
