E3 2015: Square Enix Announces A New Nier Game
Square Enix gave us quite a surprise with a follow-up to its cult title, Nier.
Currently going by the title of “New Nier Project”, this new Nier game features an all star staff of designers and composers, and is being co-developed by highly acclaimed action studio, Platinum games. Check out the trailer for this new untitled Nier game below:

Square Enix admitted this new Nier game is extremely early in development, so they didn’t even mention a target release period for this game. It’s admittedly a very unusual choice for Square Enix to revolve such a cult game. It certainly has it’s fans, but Nier isn’t a hugely loved franchise and did not sell that well. It’ll be interesting to see if this new entry in the series is a success and leads to future entries.
