Roller Coaster simulators have been few and far between, but I’ve always had fun with games likeRoller Coaster Tycoonand general theme park games such asSim Theme Park.Planet Coasterseems to bring back the fun roller coaster management gameplay of those kind of titles, and based on the brief trailer, have a fun style all of its own. Check out the trailer below forPlanet Coaster, which will see release on PC sometime in 2016:
As I said before, roller coaster simulators can be a surprising amount of fun. They can really be as simple or as complex as you wish with really insane coasters or in some games tracks that aren’t even finished for your slightly more sadistic side. WillPlanet Coasterbreathe new life into the roller coaster sim genre? I certainly hope so. We’ll find out next year.
