Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, announced that Killer Instinct will be coming to PC, and also seemed to insinuate that cross-platform play would be possible.
It wasn’t crystal clear, but Spencer seemed to confirm that PC and Xbox players could compete against each other.
"“We’re gonna bring Killer Instinct to the PC, and we’re gonna allow people to play on PC, to play on console, to play back and forth.”"
Spencer said that Killer Instinct was the first of several announcements “it’s the beginning for us,” and it didn’t take long for that to be confirmed. Spencer was followed up with Gigantic and Gears of War: Ultimate Edition both confirming they would be coming to PC as well.
