Thanks to a trusty leak, we already knew about Deus Ex: Mankind Divided before Square Enix could announce. Now, during the Square Enix E3 2015 Conference, we got to see a lot more about the game’s story, focusing on the divide between the unaugmented and those who can see through walls.

Adam Jensen is back, and he’s here with a bunch of new fun tools and a new story. Leaving Seraph Industries, Jensen is an outcast due to him being part augmented. He now works with a special group at Interpol named Task Force 29. However, due to the possible wrangling of power by a group called the Illuminati, Adam is working as a covert double agent, digging around on the inside to see if the group is looking out for humanity as opposed to selfish self-interests. Depending on your actions on either side of the coin, consequences (and endings) will differ to the player’s experience.

Outside of weaponry that can fire electric bolts and sub-machine guns, Jensen has a bunch of new tools at his disposal in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Detachable nanoblades are now lethal-capable, allowed to be thrown at objects and enemies alike. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be released in Early 2016 on the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
