The next title in the Gears of War series, Gears of War 4, makes its way to Xbox One holiday 2016. Surprisingly, we not only got an announcement of it, but we got a full gameplay session over a year before release.

Gears of War 4 obviously features a much more updated and polished style of the game. Running at a much higher resolution, Gears of War 4 looks pretty gorgeous even if it is a bit dark. In the footage, we find two players, male and female, hunting for a beast around a castle.
You see some rather cool lighting effects in the lightning storm surrounding your two players. The facial capture of each character is pretty good as well as the voice acting. The actual gameplay movement was smooth and the little bit of action we saw was high pace and somewhat hectic.
While not an action packed sequence, the footage does give a really good taste of what you can expect Gears of War 4. Check out the gameplay preview of Gears of War 4, launching Holiday 2016, above.
