E3 2015: Dark Souls 3 Officially Announced For 2016
Possibly the worst kept secret coming out of From Software (rumored for a while) was that Dark Souls III would be coming to next-gen relatively soon. Today, during the Xbox E3 2015 Media Briefing, that rumor became a reality, as Dark Souls 3 will be coming to at least Xbox One. With Sony’s conference capping today’s Day 0, it’s likely that we’ll also get confirmation of a PS4 version, with PC currently on the bubble.

We didn’t get much more than a cinematic trailer of Dark Souls 3, showing that “…now only embers remain.” Next, we saw the decayed ruins of a forgotten civilization, with the sun cascading down on ruins as decaying travelers grace a dust storm. The trailer then cuts to an old woman putting on a crown in a small room of a torn-down castle, just as a gigantic, demonic king creature rises with a massive cleaver while wearing chain armor. Lighting aflame, we then cut to the Dark Souls 3 logo.
Dark Souls 3 will be coming to at least Xbox One in Early 2016.
