Sakurai To Present New Smash Bros Content This Weekend

According to a Tweet by Nintendo of America, Masahiro Sakurai will host a video presentation this weekend to announce new content for Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS:

Masahiro Sakurai will host a video presentation about#SmashBroson 6/14 at 7:40 a.m. PT. You don’t want to miss it!http://t.co/MM4LcYwsR0

— Nintendo of America (@NintendoAmerica)June 8, 2015

It’s most likely brand new Smash Bros content and not just a rehashing of Lucas’s entrance, as thewebsiteannouncement includes the words “New Content Approaching!” Lucas will probably be mentioned though, as the video presentation occurs right before his release time. Sakurai made apost to Miiverseabout the matter as well:

"The update that includes Lucas will be available beginning 08:00 AM on June 14 (PT), 17:00 (CEST) on June 14th, and 01:00 AM on June 15 (AEST).We made a special video broadcast to talk about the update. In it, I’ll be on camera to give you all the details! We’ll air the video online right before the update, at 07:40 AM on June 14 (PT), 16:40 (CEST) on June 14th, and 0:40 AM on June 15 (AEST). Please check it out before the update becomes available!http://www.smashbros.com/"

Could we be about to hear of the first fruits of thecharacter ballot? Or perhaps getting new stages or other types of content? It’ll be exciting to see what Sakurai has in store, especially since he’ll be presenting it himself.
