Fallout 4 Announcement Likely Coming Tomorrow

UPDATE: Bethesda’s Twitch channel has gone live, with the “Please Stand By” screen and a short audio clip of a record player running without a vinyl looping every so often. You can probably watch whatever is in store for the likely Fallout 4 reveal here tomorrow.

ORIGINAL: It’s about damned time, Bethesda. Today, they have posted a familiar teaser on their Twitter account, all but confirming an announcement tomorrow for Fallout 4 (or whatever they’re going to call the next Fallout game).

The link takes you to the fallout.bethsoft.com website, with that familiar ominous “Please Stand By” message counting down to Wednesday, June 3 at 10 AM ET. It’s an image we’ve seen in Fallout games past, and all but solidifies that we’ll be expecting something related to Fallout 4 tomorrow.

As excited as I am to hear about this, all I have now is a bunch of more questions. For example; why would you make some sort of Fallout 4 announcement ahead of their first ever E3 press conference, instead of during their event? Could it be due to the fact that the cat’s pretty much out of the bag after news reports of someone working on a cinematic trailer (in which Bethesda tried to hilariously make go away by accusing news outlets who didn’t sign a non-disclosure agreement that they were breaking an NDA)? If we do see a cinematic trailer tomorrow, could we actually see a gameplay demo of Fallout 4 during the Bethesda E3 2015 event?

Hopefully, we get the answers to some of these questions tomorrow morning. Here’s to war never changing.
