Chibi Robo! Zip Lash And Amiibo Swing In This October
For fans of the GameCube and Nintendo DS Chibi Robo! games, this morning surprise Nintendo Direct Micro has good news for you. A new Chibi Robo game, entitled Chibi Robo! Zip Lash will be arriving on Nintendo 3DS this fall.
Unlike previous games, where Chibi Robo did chores around the house, this is a platforming adventure. Chibi Robo uses his plug and chord to bash enemies and latch onto platforms. The gameplay looks interesting, involving careful observation of angles. You can bounce the plug off of different surfaces at certain angles to reach greater heights. Power-ups allow you to swing farther as well.
Chibi Robo brings with him a Chibi Robo amiibo that will be available as part of a bundle with the game. Tapping the Chibi Robo figure will power up Chibi Robo into Super Chibi Robo, increasing his speed and plug-throwing distance. You can save your score in each level to the amiibo to level it up, and the amiibo can also be used to unlock certain items. More functionality for the amiibo will be announced at a later date.
Chibi Robo! Zip Lash and its amiibo will be available for Nintendo 3DS in October of this year. No specific release date has been set at this time.
