Here’s 7 Minutes Of Batman: Arkham Knight Gameplay

facebooktwitterreddit

Believe it or not, we are just under a month away from the final mainline video game release in the Arkham series. Batman: Arkham Knight is set to debut on the PC, PS4 and Xbox One on June 23rd, and the team at Rocksteady want to assure fans that the game is more of the excellence they have come to know and love over the years (and console generations). That’s why a new gameplay trailer has been released, showing off brief glimpses of the new combat and Batmobile sequences you can expect to play around with soon.

(The Batman: Arkham Knight trailer and the following paragraph will describe a short mission within the game’s main story.)

In the Batman: Arkham Knight trailer, Batman interrogates a grunt to learn the location of Scarecrow. Upon being directed to a nearby facility, Batman arrives to find nothing but a bunch of goons and a familiar face; Poison Ivy. Unfortunately for her, she has to be taken into the Gotham City Police Department, but not before Batman deploys the Batmobile on the scene of multiple tanks trying to destroy Gotham City. We get to see just how agile this vehicle is in combat mode, with thrust boosters for quick X and Y-axis slides while bullets and missiles tear up foes.

All in all, the new Batman: Arkham Knight trailer does more to focus on the characters of Batman, Poison Ivy and Oracle themselves, on equal footing as actual interactive gameplay. It certainly plays like a tease, making sure not to go too far into detail about where the plot currently is at that point in time, nor where it is going. We still haven’t seen the namesake villain yet in one of these gameplay videos, either! I guess we’ll just have to wait until near the end of June to find out what’s really going on.
