Super Mega Baseball Is Coming To PC & Xbox One
By Fraser G.
Sony have almost exclusively dominated the baseball genre for the last few years, thanks to the success of MLB: The Show. In late 2014, Super Mega Baseball was released on the Playstation Store in the US as an arcade-style alternative, and now its making its way to the Xbox One and PC.
The game will be titled Super Mega Baseball: Extra Innings, and is set to release in Summer 2015. It will include two new stadiums, along with new features and improvements. The PC version will be arriving via Steam, and the Xbox One version is likely to arrive via digital download only, although nothing has been announced as of yet.
Metalhead Software have been quick to mention that the new content will also be included for Playstation owners, via updates or free DLC.
Super Mega Baseball originally released on PS3 & PS4 in December 2014 to glowing reviews, with critics praising the fun, arcade nature of the game. It features a cartoon-based graphical style, with no player licences at present. The game contains a season mode as well as standard exhibition matches, and all 216 players in the game are customizable.

It’s a hard time to be a baseball fan unless you own a Sony branded console. RBI Baseball has been the only notable option for dedicated PC and Xbox gamers over the last few years – another arcade title which has divided baseball fans opinions, while facing no competition in the meantime.
Even though Super Mega Baseball may not be the AAA title everyone is hoping for, this is exciting news for PC and Xbox One owners. It might be a while till anyone tries to rival MLB: The Show, but for Microsoft fans, Super Mega Baseball may be the next best thing until then.
