2K Teases New Sci-Fi Game “Advent”

2K unveiled a teaser website for a sci-fi project called “Advent”, followed by a tweet showing a promotional GIF.

The website promotes The Advent Administration, a project that “strives to create a world free from hunger, pain, sickness, and war”. The page contains advertisements for the “cities of tomorrow” Advent Cities, happy-go-lucky citizens, and Advent Gene Therapy that promises to “free you from illness”.

But the website reveals sinister glitches, with warnings like “The ADVENT is lying to you” and “WE ARE STILL WATCHING” appearing over the original text.

Reading the rest of the text hints towards Advent’s eerie and suspicious nature.

“Our citizens no longer fear the diseases and disabilities that plagued past generations,” the website reads about its Advent Gene Therapy. “A complex and cutting edge system of DNA splicing has led to cures ,not only for the viruses and infections that for millennia haunted us, but for mental illnesses as well. Come discover an Illness free world with us.”

2K later tweeted about “Advent”, with a promotional GIF image confirming a sinister story:

Take-Two, 2K’s parent company, had hinted the announcement of a new triple-A title last week. “Advent” will most likely be released before April 2016, during Take-Two’s fiscal 2016 year.

Here’s to the hopes that 2K will reveal more about the project at E3.
