You Can Watch The Sony E3 2015 Conference In Theaters
Just as was the case during gaming’s biggest convention event last year, you and your friends can head on down to select theaters to watch Sony’s E3 press conference. As announced on the PlayStation Blog (by Geoff Keighley, no less), Sony will be continuing their tradition of buying out theater space across the US and Canada in order to provide free tickets to their gaming reveal marketing boogaloo, simply titled “PlayStation E3 Experience 2015.”

Since tickets for Sony’s E3 2014 conference were sold out in less than 15 minutes, Sony will be adding more than 150% more theaters than last year to bring a total to “over 75.” Furthermore, at least one theater will be represented within each state throughout the US (including the non-continental states of Hawaii and Alaska), plus the alleged three cities in Canada where people actually live. Following the press conference, Geoff Keighley will be hosting an after show, talking to developers and showing extended footage of the games. Finally, participants will receive a “PlayStation Surprise” from Sony, themselves. You can check it all out in the trailer below.
Ticket registration for the Sony E3 event will go live on Wednesday, May 27 starting at 9 AM PDT/12 PM EDT at playstation.com/e3experience. 80% of capacity will go to those that reserve tickets, while 20% will be held by the theater on a first-come, first-served basis for the day of the event. It sounds like a great way to take in just one of the 8 separate conferences and digital events going throughout the busiest week of the gaming industry.
