Bloodborne Is Set To Receive An Expansion

One of the best games to be released so far this early in the year, Bloodborne, is set to get an expansion. Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida took to his Twitter account to officially announce that the PS4 exclusive developed by From Software will be getting additional content, with an update in info coming later this year.

No further information about Bloodborne was provided, but regardless, it’s great to see further content added to an already impressive new iteration upon the Hidetaka Miyazaki formula of Action-RPG. If it’s anything like the set of Dark Souls II DLC (Crown of the Sunken, Ivory and Old Iron King), it may end up being better than the base game itself!

Regardless, if there was any better a time to make your formal announcements about Bloodborne content, it would be at E3 2015. Sony is set to go on stage to cap off Monday’s Day 0 events, starting at 6 PM PDT/9 PM EDT. Making announcements about DLC/expansion content is not out of the ordinary for Sony at E3, and it certainly wouldn’t be worse than taking up half an hour to talk about Sony-created television content like Powers! Unfortunately, my common sense alarm suggest that “later in the year” might mean after E3, seeing as it would be a lot cooler to just sneakily announce it at E3.
