Is A New Soul Calibur Game In The Works?
By Fraser G.
Rumors are circulating that a new Soul Calibur title may be in the works, after the official Soul Calibur Facebook page posted a survey, asking for the community’s favorite characters from the series.

The post mentions that Project Soul (the internal Namco team who work on the Soul Calibur franchise), would like to hear the voice of the community. It then goes on to say that Project Soul is “probably preparing something huge” and asks for people to spread the news.
"They need to determine precisely who are the favorite characters of the community!Beware, you can vote only once so choose carefully and wisely. You still have time to think about it as this survey will last until May 31st."
In a comment, the team did note that this survey was related to the brand in general, and not to Soul Calibur: Lost Swords – a free-to-play title released through the Playstation Network last year, which received poor reviews.
It has been three years since Soul Calibur V, which was the last major console release for the franchise, and if the new project is indeed an Xbox One and Playstation 4 title, I feel it will need to offer something substantially different, in a time where we have already seen the likes of games such as Mortal Kombat, Killer Instinct and Dead Or Alive on the new generation of consoles.
The survey includes 45 different characters and asks for just one favourite. The survey can be accessed by clicking this link.
