Even PC Gets An E3 2015 Press Conference Now!

Just when you think that only Bethesda and Square Enix that would be making waves for (re)joining the E3 press conference scene, a new challenger approaches from out of left field. That’s right, the glorious PC gaming platform will also be hosting their own event conference, as The PC Gaming Show will now join the ranks of Sony, Microsoft, Bethesda, Square Enix, Nintendo, Ubisoft, Activision and EA in hosting a gaming conference during E3 2015.

Hosted by PC Gamer with the help of eSports commentator Sean “Day[9]” Plott, PC’s E3 2015 conference will take place on Tuesday, June 16th at 5 PM – 8 PM PDT at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles. As is the case with most other press events during the week, there will be a livestream available on Twitch. So far, the conference will see participation from the following individuals/companies:

  • AMD
  • Blizzard Entertainment
  • Bohemia Interactive
  • Cliff “CliffyB” Bleszinski
  • Cloud Imperium Games
  • Dean Hall
  • Devolver
  • Humble Bundle
  • Heart Machine
  • Paradox Interactive
  • Square Enix
  • Tripwire Interactive

Last year, watching press events meant staying up for huge chunks of time over Day 0 (Monday), while the show floor would open up for Day 1 (Tuesday) as Nintendo was finishing their digital event. Now for E3 2015, the stakes have changed completely. More companies are competing for marketing and hype mindshare, with Bethesda stretching the event backwards on Sunday night and PC Gaming stretching conferences until Tuesday night. With so much time dedicated to promoting upcoming video games in a big way, perhaps this will be one of the industry’s greatest for quite some time. Who knows; perhaps we’ll see more than one version of Konami’s 2010 event instead.
